Ryan Bates Photography is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Ryan & Angie Bates. They combine their creative talents to produce exciting photography for their community and beyond.

Ryan is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography with a double major in Advertising/ Illustration & Digital Imaging. Starting his career in corporate product photography for clients like Macy’s, Apple, Gap, Motorolla, Levi’s, and Pets.com.  This led him to a Creative Director position with Restoration Hardware.  Then looking for something more fulfilling he was led to a high-end portrait studio where he would be getting himself ready for his studio in the coming years.  Ryan ran that downtown studio for 10 years and has since moved the business to their home office.  He has been working in the profession for 30 years. He is passionate about creating unique and special images for every client.

Ryan is a Professional Photographers of America - Certified Professional Photographer and Craftsman of Photography. He mentors up-and-coming photographers. Ryan is active in the community through the Chamber of Commerce, business, and social groups. In his spare time, he is into fitness, a good cup of coffee, outdoor adventures, and a cheerleader to his kids.

Ryan and Angie feel blessed that they get to work together and they have a lot of fun doing so. They have been married for 19 years and they have three wonderful children who are constantly inspiring them.
